Responsibilities

We are looking for a Clinical Research Specialist to join our growing team! Working closely with the Principal Investigator, you will be responsible for clinical trials, including facilitating and coordinating daily study activities. In your role, you will consistently have the opportunity to lead our research efforts! You should possess the ability to carry out proper handling of highly sensitive information, all the while following protocol and maintaining IRB approval. From study testing, to enrollment of multicenter clinical trials, to longitudinal cohort studies, your expertise will be essential to the quality improvement of our research process.

Key Technical & Rating Scale Experience: Candidates should ideally have experience with:

  • General/Neuro/Cognitive Scales: MMSE, CDR, ADAS-Cog, CIBIC, CSSR-S (Suicide rating), Ham-D, NPI, RUD, Trails A & B, Geriatric Depression Scale, ADLs, DAD, and Wechsler Memory Scale.
  • Movement Disorder & Side Effect Scales (Highly Desired): AIMS (Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale), TDIS (Tardive Dyskinesia Impact Scale), BARS (Barnes Akathisia Rating Scale), and Modified SAS (Simpson-Angus Scale).

Work Locations Must be mobile and flexible across three primary sites in Fresno, Ca.

Standard Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Schedule Flexibility: Requires flexibility for occasional early starts (checking drugs/protocols) or coordinating with East Coast sponsors.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Health Sciences field required
  • Master's Degree in Healthcare or Health Sciences field preferred

Experience

  • 1 years of research or clinical trial experience required
  • Experience with Pharmaceutical/medical device trials or UC Consortium experience (StrokeNet, NIH, National Cancer Institute) preferred
  • Backgrounds in Neuroscience/Neurology or Oncology preferred.
  • Experience in one or more preferred:

Licenses and Certifications

  • One of the following is required within 1 year of hire or transfer into position
    • CRA - Clinical Research Associate
    • CCRP - Certified Clinical Research Professional
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
