  • Review and interpret clinical data, including vital signs, ECGs, laboratory results, adverse events, and other safety parameters.
  • Participate in an on-call rota, providing medical support outside standard business hours.
  • Maintain proficiency in Advanced Life Support (ALS), and respond effectively to medical emergencies within the unit.
  • Assist with or perform the administration of investigational medicinal products, as required.
  • Monitor, assess, communicate, and manage adverse events and other clinical findings throughout study conduct.
  • Prepare and present safety information at study and safety review meetings.
  • Perform study-specific clinical procedures and assessments as required.

What You'll Bring:

Essential Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong patient and client-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to take on new responsibilities and learning opportunities.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional and matrix teams.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet competing deadlines in a demanding clinical setting.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Relevant post-graduate clinical experience.
  • Understanding of International Conference on Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) principles.
  • Interest in, or willingness to act as, a Sub-Investigator on selected early-phase clinical studies.
  • Previous experience in clinical research, pharmaceutical medicine, clinical pharmacology, or acute care settings is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD, or equivalent).
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a current Licence to Practise.
  • Current ALS certification.
  • A genuine interest in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Medicine, with willingness to undertake postgraduate study in these disciplines.
