
0.3 FTE (Tuesday and Wednesday), 12-month fixed-term position as Clinical Research Orthoptist
Located at Sydney Eye Hospital
Base salary from $93,345 (pro-rata), plus 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Clinical Research Orthoptist reports to the Clinical Research Orthoptist Team Leader to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of delegated clinical trial group activities, (pharmaceutical company sponsored and investigator-initiated), following set protocols and ensuring accuracy and compliance with critical regulations.
This position is designated as child-related employment. To be able to work in this role, you will need a current Working With Children Check as well as an updated and compliant Vaccination Record card, in line with NSW Health employment requirements (Category A).
Your key responsibilities will be to:
implement clinical trials under the supervision of the Clinical Research Orthoptist Team Leader
develop and maintain relationships with clinical trial stakeholders, participating in research meetings and facilitating communication amongst various entities
engage in quality and compliance activities to ensure clinical trial documents, ethics applications, participant data capture and verification align with GCP and relevant SOPs
lead by example in prioritising work, health and safety within daily operations, coordinate with peers for safety drills and training, and proactively identify areas for safety improvement within the work scope.
About you
bachelor’s degree in in a relevant field or equivalent combination of training and experience
recent experience in the clinical trials setting including HREC requirements, ICH-GCP and study coordination. sound organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, multi task and to meet deadlines. Ability to consistently show initiative and work proactively
Ability to communicate effectively and engage in teamwork and collaboration.
