Job Description

Natural Cycles° is a leading women’s health company that developed the world’s first birth control app, used by millions globally. We are a fast growing startup, and we promote an international working environment filled with smart and ambitious colleagues based in Stockholm, Geneva, New York, and remotely. Our mission is to pioneer women’s health through research and passion, empowering every woman with the knowledge she needs to take charge of her health.

As a Clinical Research Intern, you will support the trials management team across a range of tasks while serving as a point of contact for research participants. Day-to-day, this includes monitoring data collection, troubleshooting, managing inventory, and assisting with logistics — all while helping look after participant well-being and engagement. You will work closely with the MAD (Medical Algorithm and Data) team and collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, IT, and HR. The role is primarily local, supporting a Stockholm-based team. As most participant communication — both verbal and written — takes place in the Stockholm area, proficiency in Swedish is a plus. Strong English skills, both spoken and written, are essential. Given the nature of clinical trials, workload can vary, and we are looking for someone who is comfortable working flexible hours.

Please note that we are hiring for this role in Stockholm, Sweden. This is a fixed-term position with an expected end date of December 2026.

What you will be doing

You will assist the team with the operational management and oversight of clinical trials, from the initial setup to participant offboarding. Your focus will be on the following areas:

  • Monitor the recruitment of the trial participants and the collection of signed documentation.

  • Assist with onboarding trial participants, including scheduling and preparing materials.

  • Assist with trial daily operations: monitor data collection, address participants' questions and issues, schedule additional meetings when necessary, and send out follow-up emails.

  • Oversee the inventory and shipment of replacement devices and other materials. Occasionally, you will test devices yourself.

  • Assist with the offboarding of the trial participants, gather the study material when applicable, and coordinate with the Finance team to ensure the compensation is processed.

What skills and experience we think you have

  • You have some experience in a customer support role, assisting with research projects, or similar.

  • You are skilled at conveying complex information in a simplified and straightforward manner.

  • You are skilled in troubleshooting and have the patience to assist less experienced users.

  • You are organized and structured, and you are good at preparing and maintaining documentation.

  • You have good attention to detail; you easily spot small mistakes.

  • You are comfortable working across teams and managing multiple priorities at once.

  • You are fully proficient in English (both written and spoken).

  • You are passionate about women’s health and research.

  • You are ready to adjust to a flexible schedule and fluctuating workload.

  • You are based in the Stockholm area and available to work in July 2026.

What we offer

  • Flexible work arrangement - you will be part of a team based in and around Stockholm that values effective collaboration and transparent communication, irrespective of work location

  • Professional development - you will work alongside knowledgeable colleagues in the continuous growth and skill enhancement environment

  • Modern technology - you will leverage innovative technologies and tools, within an environment that empowers you to contribute ideas and take ownership of your work

  • Impactful projects - you will contribute to groundbreaking projects that redefine industry standards and create tangible value

  • Commitment to quality - you will join a dynamic and progressive organization that prioritizes profitable, long-term product development

Location

We are remote-friendly, but we find great value in being able to connect with our teams in person. For this internship, we are looking for someone based in the Stockholm area who is available to work onsite.

Sounds interesting?

If you want to be part of a successful team, we encourage you to apply for this position as soon as possible.

About Natural Cycles°

We have developed the only digital method of birth control cleared by regulators both in the US and in Europe. Effective, natural, and backed by clinical research - Natural Cycles has been cleared by the US FDA and CE marked in Europe. Today we have a growing user base, who are happy to have found a method of birth control that is right for them and that allows them to get to know their bodies and cycles. No matter what your choice is, we believe that every woman should know that understanding how your cycle works matters.

Natural Cycles was created when our founders, Elina and Raoul, were in search of an effective method of natural birth control. Their journey took them from physics straight into health tech for women. The couple were unsatisfied with what they found, so they decided to apply their experience and knowledge in advanced mathematics and data analysis to develop a solution to meet their needs. This turned out to be an algorithm that detects and predicts ovulation and fertility.

In the early days, they used the algorithm for their own purposes but quickly realized that there was a vast unmet need for this type of method. They decided to develop a mobile app so women from all over the world could easily access and use Natural Cycles.

Our company has been up and running since 2013 and has been rapidly growing since our CE certification in February 2017. At Natural Cycles we are always looking for passionate talents to help us strive for change in such a complex, scientific, and controversial field. We have women's best interest at heart and work hard every single day to ensure that we provide the best possible solution. That’s why each and every team member is passionate about what we do.

Gathered from all corners of the world we are a tight-knit international team located right in the center of beautiful Stockholm. If you would like to join us, check our open job positions below, go ahead and connect with us.
