
CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR III - (T240021)
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Ped - Rehabilitation Medicine, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator III.General ResponsibilitiesTo serve as a lead coordinator by providing oversight to less experienced staff to ensure quality and regulatory compliance with clinical research operations.To coordinate and manage the research study lifecycle from start-up through close-out.To coordinate and conduct all applicable clinical and administrative activities required by the protocol such as screening, scheduling, consenting, assessing, ordering, collecting, documenting and shipping under the auspices of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesTrains new coaches, re-trains current coaches, and manages monthly behavioral coaching fidelity meetings that include all coaches. The coordinator will also directly coach intervention participants.Recruits and screens management and implementation. Independently creates and manages recruitment sources for the R01 trial. The trial includes funding to support the creation of a nationwide network of external collaborators and partners that will assist with recruitment.Behavioral coaching management and implementation. Specifically, the coordinator will independently manage behavioral coaches.Co-manages and implements on-site clinic recruitment. Management of all study project supplies and equipment.Independently create contracts with vendors for study equipment and supplies.Manages study purchases and budgets. Oversees delivery of study supplies to participants.Manages study staff and students in supply setup, delivery, and technical intervention support procedures.Manages data for the R01 randomized controlled trial. Manages R01 data collectors and fidelity checks.Manages REDCap creation with the REDCap designer and report to the PI.Independently manages data quality assurance for the trial, which includes data quality input into REDCap and management of study staff/students in extracting data from the Polar database.Independently synthesizes data reports. Exercise physiology laboratory data collection.Independently manages all laboratory testing equipment and supplies.Independently trains all staff in exercise testing procedures.Consults with collaborators/partners on exercise testing protocol design and reports to the PI.Performs other duties as assigned.Annual Salary Range: $60,835 - $98,855
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification preferred.
