About the Role

Clinical Research Coordinators play an important role in supporting studies that improve child health through scientific discovery and innovation. Working closely with investigators, research participants, and multidisciplinary teams, Clinical Research Coordinators help ensure research studies are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations and institutional requirements.

Research opportunities may be available across a variety of specialty areas, including:

• Behavioral Health
• Cardiology
• Emergency Medicine
• Gastroenterology
• Genetics and Genomic Medicine
• Neurology
• Oncology
• Population Health
• Pulmonary Medicine
• Rare Disease Research
• Translational Research

Specific responsibilities and study assignments will vary based on departmental needs and individual positions.

Potential Responsibilities

Depending on the department and research portfolio, responsibilities may include:

• Coordinating day-to-day research study activities
• Recruiting, screening, scheduling, and retaining study participants
• Supporting informed consent and participant education activities
• Collecting, entering, and maintaining study data and documentation
• Maintaining regulatory files and research records
• Assisting with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and compliance activities
• Communicating with participants, families, investigators, and study teams
• Monitoring study progress and ensuring protocol adherence
• Supporting quality assurance and regulatory compliance efforts
• Learning and applying research policies, procedures, and federal regulations

Minimum Qualifications

One of the following is required:

• High School Diploma and two (2) years of related work experience

OR

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, psychology, public health, health sciences, sociology, neuroscience, or a related field
• Experience in healthcare, research, customer service, education, social services, community outreach, or other participant-facing environments
• Experience coordinating projects, schedules, documentation, or administrative processes
• Experience working with patients, families, customers, clients, students, or community members
• Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, processes, and regulations
