Position Summary

This position will support multiple patient-centered research projects under the leadership of the Chief of the Division of Cardiology.

Duties & Responsibilities

Participates in clinical trial-based research in collaboration with Cardiology Principal Investigators by coordinating the regulatory, enrollment, and follow-up activities required for each study.

Prepares and submits regulatory paperwork and contracts necessary to obtain and maintain trial approval, including IRB applications, informed consent documents, and clinical trial agreements.

Screens the patient population for trial eligibility and recruits and consents eligible patients in accordance with protocol requirements.

Enrolls and randomizes patients per study protocol.

Performs chart review and coordinates patient follow-up visits and assessments as required by each trial.

Files adverse event reports, continuing reviews, and protocol amendments with the IRB and sponsor in an organized and timely manner.

Develops and maintains research records, regulatory files, and documentation required by the sponsor and institution.

Serves as a point of contact between the division, sponsors, and monitors, and supports sponsor monitoring visits and audits.

Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in a health-related, life sciences, or related field is required.
  2. A minimum of 1-2 years of related clinical research coordination experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with IRB submission processes, informed consent, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) preferred
