This role sits at the critical intersection of science, finance, and compliance – ensuring clinical trials run smoothly from contract negotiation through to final payment.

Your new role

As a Clinical Research Contracts, Budget and Payments Analyst, you'll be the vital link between research centers, internal stakeholders, and our clinical development programs. Your analytical expertise and attention to detail will ensure clinical trials are executed with full regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the analysis and negotiation of contracts and amendments with research centers, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Developing comprehensive clinical study budgets that accurately reflect protocol requirements, Fair Market Value principles, and internal guidelines
  • Managing end-to-end payment processes for research centers, including purchase order creation, invoice follow-up, and liaising with finance teams
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for research centers and internal stakeholders across Projects, Start-up, Legal, Finance, and Tax teams
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance, contractual adherence, and quality standards throughout all clinical research operations
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational workflows and increase efficiency

In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness.

You'll collaborate across functions and geographies, working with some of the brightest minds in pharmaceutical research and development.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for someone who thrives in a detailed, process-oriented environment while maintaining sight of the bigger picture – advancing therapies that change lives.

  • Previous experience in clinical research, pharmaceutical industry, CRO (Contract Research Organization), or related areas
  • Hands-on experience with contracts, budgets, and/or payments to research centers in a clinical trial context
  • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities with demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take ownership
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Keen attention to detail combined with the ability to see the broader strategic context
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences, or related field
