Job Description

Clinical Research Associate

Brasília, DF, Brazil

Ready to be the link between groundbreaking science and the patients who need it most? As a Clinical Research Associate at Novo Nordisk, you'll be at the heart of clinical trials that could change millions of lives – ensuring quality, protecting patient safety, and driving studies forward from protocol to completion.

Your new role

As a Clinical Research Associate, you'll serve as the primary liaison between Novo Nordisk and clinical trial sites, taking ownership of study execution while building meaningful relationships with investigators and site staff. You'll be trusted to ensure compliance, quality, and patient safety across every aspect of your assigned studies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting on-site and remote monitoring visits in accordance with ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal protocols to ensure the highest standards of trial execution
  • Managing clinical trial sites as the main point of contact, overseeing site performance, recruitment progress, data collection, and resolution of discrepancies
  • Implementing risk-based quality management (RBQM) principles to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout study conduct
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with investigators, site staff, and cross-functional teams to support smooth study execution and the Novo Nordisk drug pipeline
  • Ensuring patient safety and data integrity by monitoring adverse events, resolving data queries, and maintaining compliance with protocols and regulatory standards
  • Leading site training and providing continuous support on study protocols, operational procedures, and digital systems
  • Managing investigational medicinal products (IMP), study supplies, essential documents, and equipment across sites to ensure accountability and quality

Your new department

In Research & Development, you'll be part of a unit that explores bold scientific ideas and advances them into clinical testing. We combine curiosity, AI tools, and human data to develop transformative therapies. Through collaboration and operational excellence, we shape and deliver an innovative pipeline to meet future patient needs.

Within R&D, you'll join the Clinical Trials team – a dynamic group dedicated to bringing new treatments from concept to patients. As a CRA, you'll work across multiple therapeutic areas, collaborating with trial managers, study start-up teams, vendor managers, and site staff to ensure clinical studies are executed with the highest quality standards. Your work directly impacts our ability to develop life-changing medicines for people living with serious chronic diseases.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about clinical research quality and patient safety. To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in clinical trial monitoring or a relevant pharmaceutical industry/CRO role
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and clinical trial methodology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across all organizational levels
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency in digital tools, including electronic data capture (EDC) systems, CTMS, eTMF, and other clinical trial software
  • Problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation
  • Flexibility to travel as required to support clinical trial sites
