About This Opportunity

The Clinical Research Administration and Coordination Officer provides purposeful research administration and specialised project coordination, data management and communications support across clinical and health research projects within the Queensland Cerebral Palsy and Rehabilitation Research Centre (QCPRRC). Working in a collaborative and inclusive multidisciplinary environment, you will help researchers, clinicians, participants, consumers and partner organisations deliver high-quality research that improves understanding, diagnosis, treatment and care for paediatric cerebral palsy.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive research administration support for grants, funding applications, ethics and governance submissions, researcher development initiatives, travel arrangements, committees, workshops and training activities.
  • Coordinating clinical research activities, including project timelines, participant recruitment and engagement, study assessments, intervention sessions, data collection, stakeholder communications and regulatory requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining accurate and secure project documentation, research databases and tracking systems, including REDCap database development, user management, electronic form design, troubleshooting and data exports.
  • Creating and maintaining accessible websites, digital platforms, newsletters, promotional materials and participant resources that support clinical education, research dissemination, stakeholder engagement and knowledge translation.
  • Act as a key contact for routine research administration enquiries from staff, students, collaborators, and external stakeholders.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position through to December 2027 at HEW Level 5.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $85,452 to $94,984, plus 17% super.

About You

  • Completion of a degree in a related field and experience in clinical trials, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively and empathetically with research participants, caregivers and stakeholders across research and healthcare systems.
  • Knowledge of research ethics processes, governance procedures and regulatory documentation.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, privacy, secure data management and responsible information handling.
  • Experience in research administration, clinical research, health services or clinical trial coordination, with flexibility regarding work days and after-hours contact, will be highly regarded.
