Registered Nurse – Night Duty (Casual | AL/SL Cover)

If you are an experienced RN who prefers night work, values autonomy, and is comfortable leading overnight clinical care, this role will suit you well.
This opportunity is specifically for Registered Nurses seeking casual night duty shifts, providing annual and sick leave backfill.
This role does not offer guaranteed hours, permanent conversion, or day/evening shifts.
What you’ll be doing in this role
• Lead clinical care delivery overnight, ensuring resident safety and wellbeing
• Respond confidently to clinical changes and emergencies using strong assessment skills
• Oversee Medication rounds, documentation, and handover accuracy
• Supervise and support Night Duty Personal Care Workers
• Liaise with on-call clinicians, GPs, and external services as required
• Maintain a calm, organised, and resident centered environment during night shifts
• This is a hands on, autonomous night role requiring confidence and sound clinical judgement.

Who we’re looking for
You’ll be a great match if you:
• Are a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Have previous night duty experience in aged care or acute nursing
• Are comfortable working independently overnight
• Are specifically seeking casual night shifts only
• Are happy to work AL/SL replacement shifts as they arise
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgement, time management, and calm decision making
