
The Clinical Recovery Specialist will provide on-site substance abuse counseling, education, relapse prevention services both within groups and as individuals, participation in client assessment, act as liaison with self-help and other substance abuse support groups, and crisis intervention (evening and day shift hours). Under the direction of the Program Management, he/she will provide substance abuse services/mental health counseling services to consumers individually and in groups, and participates in the related functions of the program and hospital responsibilities, which include comprehensive assessments/updates, case management, continuing care services and clinical services, discharge planning, and crisis intervention. In addition, the Substance Abuse Specialist is responsible for the education of consumers, families and/or significant others. Provides community education as dictated by department or programmatic needs.
Education: Master Degree required; Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor from OASAS (CASAC) required
Valid Driver's License in good standing required
