Position Summary

As a Clinical Quality Supervisor at Blackbird Health, you will lead clinical quality assurance and professional development across our therapy team while maintaining a direct care caseload of patients. You will provide clinical supervision, conduct regular note and chart audits, mentor clinicians, and support learning and development initiatives to ensure the highest standards of evidence-based care. We are seeking a Pennsylvania LCSW qualified to provide clinical supervision who thrives at raising clinical standards, coaching providers, and delivering compassionate pediatric psychotherapy. This is a fully remote position.

What Makes You, You

  • Clinically Excellent: You strive for the highest technical and clinical quality in documentation, treatment planning, and therapeutic delivery.
  • Qualified Clinical Supervisor: You hold an active PA LCSW and possess the licensure requirements to supervise master’s-level clinicians and pre-licensed therapists.
  • Quality & Detail-Oriented: You take pride in thorough chart reviews, clear documentation, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards and evidence-based practices.
  • Educator & Mentor: You enjoy helping other clinicians grow, coaching them on documentation, diagnosis, and intervention strategies.
  • Developmentally & Neurodiverse-Informed: Skilled in delivering effective psychotherapy across developmental stages and neurodiverse populations.
  • Collaborative & Supportive: You work seamlessly alongside multidisciplinary team members (PMHNPs, OT, SLP) and clinical operations to support care quality.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven: You use clinical outcomes, chart audit trends, and quality metrics to guide supervision and training efforts.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Clinical Quality & Chart Auditing

  • Review Notes & Charting: Conduct regular quality reviews of clinical notes, treatment plans, diagnostic assessments, and discharge summaries to ensure compliance, clinical accuracy, and high standards of care.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Establish and monitor clinical care benchmarks, using chart audit findings to identify trends, mitigate risk, and drive continuous clinical improvement.

Supervision & Learning Development

  • Provide Clinical Supervision: Deliver individual and group supervision to assigned therapists, supporting case conceptualization, risk management, and professional growth.
  • Support Hiring, Onboarding & Training: Partner with leadership to hire and onboard new hires, train clinicians on Blackbird’s care model, documentation standards, and evidence-based practices.
  • Deliver Ongoing Coaching: Provide constructive feedback and tailored instruction based on note audits and clinical performance reviews.

Direct Patient Care

  • Deliver High-Quality Therapy: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy services (12-15 direct care clinical hours per week) to children, adolescents, and families.
  • Integrated Care Collaboration: Work closely with specialty providers across disciplines to ensure comprehensive, whole-child treatment plans.

The Basics You’ll Need

  • Active PA LCSW with qualifications to provide clinical supervision in Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum 3+ years of post-licensure clinical experience delivering psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and families.

  • Expertise in evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT-informed, TF-CBT, etc.) and neurodiversity-affirming care.

Why Blackbird is Unique

  • Dedicated Quality Focus: Positioned specifically to mentor providers and elevate clinical care without administrative/operational noise.
  • Guaranteed Caseload: Immediate referrals
  • Fully Remote: Flexibility to manage your care and supervision schedule from home.

Blackbird Health

About Blackbird Health

Blackbird Health offers virtual and in-person mental health services for children and young adults across Pennsylvania and Virginia, with plans to expand to new markets in 2025. Our services include comprehensive evaluations and assessments, medication management, and therapy services.

Our whole-child diagnostic approach reveals the full story behind each child’s challenges, allowing us to address both the symptoms and their underlying causes. By looking at a complete picture of what is impacting a child's wellbeing, Blackbird Health provides precise care that leads to lasting, meaningful outcomes. Grounded in deep respect for each child, empathy for all parents, and compassion for every family, we help children, teens, and young adults face their mental health challenges so they can spread their wings and fly.

The unique Blackbird Health assessment begins with a thorough evaluation that takes into account all factors contributing to a young person’s mental health and development—including speech and language, genetics, behavior, cognition, psychology, and more. We apply a developmental lens to every aspect of our evaluation, recognizing that mental health concerns must be understood within the context of a child’s developmental stage. This leads to more complete diagnoses and understanding of causes. Together with the family, we then create a treatment plan aligned with their goals. Once the plan is agreed upon, we match each child with the right provider and sequence care to build effectively over time.

Ongoing care is at the heart of what we do. We stay closely connected with families through regular check-ins to monitor progress and make adjustments as needed, ensuring continuous growth.
