The Clinical Project Manager – OhioRISE Program is a management position responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring clinical and operational initiatives within the designated OhioRISE program. This role provides leadership and oversight to ensure program goals, clinical standards, contractual requirements, and regulatory expectations are met. The Clinical Project Manager serves as a key liaison between leadership and frontline operations. This position supports overall program performance by assisting, monitoring, and guiding supervisors as designated, leading program-specific projects, and ensuring effective integration of clinical, operational, and quality improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities & Role Highlights:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of OhioRISE program initiatives to ensure alignment with agency goals, contractual obligations, and clinical best practices.
  • Support program directors with operational planning, implementation, and evaluation of program activities.
  • Guide and support assigned supervisors, including workflow optimization, problem-solving, and performance oversight as designated.
  • Coordinate clinical operations, quality improvement, data reporting, training initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
  • Monitor program performance, productivity, and outcomes; identify trends and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with OhioRISE requirements, OMHAS regulations, Joint Commission standards, and agency policies.
  • Serve as a liaison between leadership, staff, managed care entities, and community partners.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Requires an associate degree in nursing, bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or related field or current enrollment in a program leading to the degree preferred.
  • At least three years’ experience in a clinical position which includes behavioral health experience is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory, project management, or program leadership experience preferred.
  • Required CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Required CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of mental illnesses.
  • Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of chronic physical health conditions and the physical needs of persons who are severely and persistently mentally ill.
  • Must demonstrate working knowledge of substance abuse issues and the recovery process.
  • Must have an understanding of the laws and rules affecting mental health and substance abuse.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work within the community mental health system.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays as position maintains 24-hour responsibility.
