What you will do:

The Coordinator of Clinical Programs collaborates with medical staff, administration, department leaders, ancillary staff, and nursing personnel to coordinate Peterson Health’s trauma, stroke, and chest pain programs across the continuum of care—from emergency department admission through intervention or procedure, intensive care, stabilization, rehabilitation, and discharge.

The Coordinator oversees program performance improvement and ensures ongoing compliance with applicable Texas Department of State Health Services, DNV, and state requirements for the facility’s trauma, stroke, and chest pain designations.

The role also supports accurate, timely data entry for the Trauma, Stroke, and Chest Pain registries; ensures Trauma Registry compliance with state trauma rules; and analyzes program data to identify and advance opportunities for process improvement

Required Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Required Skills:
Leadership, Organization and Fiscal Stewardship

Preferred Skills:

Change Agent, Coach and Role Model

Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Completion of a Performance Improvement course, Trauma Outcomes Performance Improvement course, or Trauma Coordinator core Course (within 6 months of hire).

Training with American Trauma Society in injury severity scoring, or Association for the Advancement of Automotive medicine.
Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
National certification in a related specialty.

Trauma Nurse Core Course, or Advanced Trauma course for nurses.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support or Emergency Nurse Pediatric course

Required Experience:
Experience as a clinical program coordinator, or experience as a nurse in a related specialty

Preferred Experience:
ACLS, PALS
