Position Title

Clinical Program Manager - TraumaWescoe Pavilion

/ Career Interest:

The Nurse Manager is accountable for the overall operations of the unit. Is responsible on a continual basis for the quality of patient care, customer (external and internal) service, and cost-efficient operation of the unit. Supports the Hospital mission and strategic plan, budgeting and resource allocation, organizational policy and overall management plan of the Department of Nursing.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Achieve business and organization goals, visions and objectives.
  • Administer corrective action to employees not meeting requirements of their jobs.
  • Analyzing, reporting, giving recommendations and developing strategies on how to improve quality and satisfaction.
  • Create a unit budget and manage to this by monitoring staffing, supplies, travel, equipment, volume, revenue, charges, education, and food.
  • Identifying problems, providing solutions and courses of actions.
  • Interact in a positive, professional manner with evidence of conflict resolution skills.
  • Maintain a presence on the unit.
  • Primary involvement in employee selection, career development, succession planning and periodic training.
  • Role Model professional nursing practice through collaboration with staff, leadership, patients, families and physicians.
  • Serve as a mentor for staff developing into leadership roles .
  • Supervise and manage the overall performance and technical competencies of staff in his/her department.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Graduate
  • Bachelor Degree Nursing


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master Degree Nursing
  • 2 or more years of management experience


Required Licensure and Certification

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Multi-State - State Board of Nursing - in state in which you live OR
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing - active with multistate in progress with proof of application
  • Must have current active multistate state Register Nurse (RN) license in good standing in state in which you live OR active single state RN license in good standing in the state you will be working with proof of application of a multistate RN license in the state in which you live. Staff hired prior to 2/1/2024 are required to obtain a multistate state RN license from the state in which they live at the time of their next RN license renewal by 4/30/2026.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days


Preferred Licensure and Certification

  • Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
