
The Clinical Program Manager - Intake and Registration provides clinical, operational, and administrative leadership for the Intake and Registration Department across Behavioral Health and Wellness and Enhanced Care Management, and other clinical departments. This position oversees intake and registration processes, supervises the Intake and Registration Supervisor and teams, leads staff training and development, and develops protocols, procedures, workflows, and manuals to support timely, compliant, and effective access to services. This position will collaborate with leadership to accomplish CII’s Strategic Plan and Core Priorities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Provides leadership and oversight of the Intake and Registration Department, including operations, service access, staff performance, and quality across Behavioral Health and Wellness and Enhanced Care Management.
Directly supervises the Intake and Registration Supervisor and supports the development, accountability, and performance of department staff.
Oversees intake and registration workflows to ensuretimely,equitable, and compliant access to services.
Develops and implements staff training, onboarding, protocols, procedures, workflows, and departmental manuals.
Provides clinical consultation and guidance on complex intake, eligibility, referral, and service coordination matters.
Monitors documentation quality, data integrity, productivity, and performance metrics, andleadsquality improvement efforts.
Collaborates withProgram,Quality Assurance,Billing, Compliance, IT,and administrative teams to support efficient operations and regulatory compliance.
Resolves operational and system issues and supports implementation of process improvements and best practices.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Maintains current knowledge of privacy laws, access standards, eligibility requirements, documentation expectations, and payer or contract requirements related to intake and registration.
Supports audits, site reviews, and other compliance and quality improvement activities.
Coordinates linkages and processes with outside stakeholders.
May provide in-person support to the I&R team and outside stakeholders
Performs other duties and specialprojects asassigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the direct and indirect reports.
Provides overall leadership and supervision for the Intake and Registration Department, including direct supervision of the Intake and Registration Supervisor and oversight of assigned staff.
Responsibilities include hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and supporting clinical supervision and staff developmentin accordance withorganizational and regulatory requirements.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, psychology, or a related behavioral health fieldrequired
Minimum of two (2) years of post-licensure clinical experiencerequired
Minimum of two (2) years of clinical supervisory experiencerequired, including direct supervision of clinical staff within the last five (5) years.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in behavioral health, intake, registration, care coordination, or related program operationsrequired
Demonstratedexperience in staff training, workflow development, protocols, procedures, manuals, quality improvement, and electronic health recordsrequired
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Valid driver’s license and state-required auto insurance or reliable access to transportation depending on business needs.
Bilingual in Spanish and Englishrequired
Strong knowledge of behavioral health documentation, confidentiality standards, and applicable regulatory and payer requirements.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Demonstrated sensitivity to the cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Active and unrestricted Board of Behavior Sciences (BBS) or Board of Psychology (BOP) license required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Intermediate working knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, and E-mail.

COMPENSATION:
$104,616.00 USD - $130,770.00 USD
In accordance with California law, the expected pay range for this position is included in this posting. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors permitted by law. New hires will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range to maintain internal inequity and allow opportunity for future salary growth. CII salaries are determined based on comprehensive internal and external market analysis, as well as the skills, education, and experience relevant to each position.
