Job Description

Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University seeks a dynamic individual to serve as a Clinical Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship in a non-tenure position. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Organizational Behavior, Negotiations, Leadership, and related topics. The candidate will also contribute service to the school and university community, with optional opportunities to engage in research and participate in research seminars. Position Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will teach three undergraduate courses in-person twice per week and may hold administrative responsibilities, including serving as Chair of the Department, as assigned. Teaching will take place at Yeshiva University’s Manhattan campuses, either the Wilf Campus in Washington Heights or the Beren Campus located at 215 Lexington Avenue. Additional opportunities may include conducting research, participating in school research seminars, and providing service to the school, university, and broader community through participation in institutional events and activities.

Experience & Educational Background:

A doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited institution with expertise in Strategy, Management, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Behavioral Economics, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Psychology, or related fields is preferred. Candidates without a doctoral degree are also encouraged to apply if they are currently pursuing a doctoral degree in one of the listed fields; possess a master’s degree in a related field along with at least five years of professional industry experience; or hold a master’s degree in a related field and have a minimum of two years of prior college-level teaching experience, with strong teaching evaluation scores preferred. Candidates should also demonstrate a record of publications and/or an active research agenda. Applicants holding a JD degree may also be considered.

Skills & Competencies:

Candidates should demonstrate strong connections with industry, as well as public speaking and teaching experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, along with the ability and willingness to work within a research-oriented academic community. The successful candidate should also promote the use of emerging technologies, including AI, in the classroom. Preference may be given to candidates who have a record of publications or maintain an active research agenda.

The individual will be part of the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Department within the Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University. The primary points of contact for this position will be the Chair of the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Department, the Associate Dean, and the Dean of the Sy Syms School of Business. The selected candidate will design undergraduate courses in collaboration with the Department Chair and will be expected to conduct independent research. Candidates may acknowledge their affiliation with Yeshiva University in any scholarly research they publish and are encouraged to collaborate on research projects with YU faculty and students, as well as participate in departmental and university events.
