
Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences at Chapman University invites applications for a non-tenure track appointment as Program Director/Chair in Physician Assistant Studies, beginning August 1, 2027.

The Department of Physician Assistant Studies is located on the Rinker Health Science campus in Irvine, CA. The campus is designed to foster an inter-professional educational environment and to use innovative technology in teaching and practice. The campus features state of the art facilities, including a human cadaver anatomy laboratory, advanced learning center with innovative technology, Grand Rounds auditorium with 3D projection capabilities, multi-sized classrooms, a medical library, and collaborative work centers. The campus is home to several accredited graduate health science professional programs, including Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Master of Science Physician Assistant Studies, and Doctor of Pharmacy. The Rinker campus is strategically located near healthcare institutions, medical device and biopharmaceutical companies. The PA Studies Program has achieved Accreditation-Continued from the ARC-PA through 2030. US News and World Report ranked the PA program 58th in the nation in 2025. The first cohort of PAs graduated in 2018, and the program graduates 50 PA students each year. The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation -Continued status to the Chapman University-Crean College MMS PA Studies Program sponsored by Chapman University. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards. Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be 2030. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy. Successful completion of a background check is required for the final candidate. The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $235,000, with the highest salary reserved for the most experienced candidate. This position is contingent on final budget approval.
