Role Description

Reporting to the Technical Solutions Manager, the Clinical Pre-Sales Consultant will leverage their clinical laboratory expertise and knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Order Communications (OrderComms) solutions to understand customer requirements and shape effective healthcare technology solutions.

Working closely with Sales, Product, Bid Management, Delivery and Commercial teams, you will support complex opportunities through solution design, tender responses, product demonstrations and customer engagement activities. This home-based role requires occasional travel to customer sites, Clinisys offices and industry events across the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer laboratory and pathology workflows, challenges and objectives.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear clinical and functional solution designs.
  • Support RFIs, RFPs, ITTs and other procurement activities with high-quality customer-facing content.
  • Plan and deliver tailored product demonstrations, workshops and presentations.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product and Delivery teams to develop and position solutions.
  • Support solution costing, commercial reviews and governance processes.
  • Maintain demonstration environments and pre-sales collateral.
  • Participate in customer discussions throughout the sales cycle, from initial engagement through to handover to Delivery.
  • Stay up to date with Clinisys products, healthcare technology trends and industry developments.

Skills and Experience

Required

  • Strong clinical laboratory knowledge and understanding of diagnostic workflows.
  • Experience working with LIMS and/or OrderComms solutions.
  • Ability to gather, analyse and translate customer requirements into solution recommendations.
  • Excellent presentation, demonstration and facilitation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative and consultative approach with excellent stakeholder management abilities.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to balance customer needs with solution capability.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a diagnostic or pathology laboratory environment.
  • Clinical, scientific or healthcare-related qualification.
  • Experience in clinical pre-sales, software demonstrations, implementation, training or healthcare technology sales.
  • Knowledge of pathology services and healthcare procurement processes.
  • Professional registration, postgraduate qualification or formal sales/presentation training.

This role requires a working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and the ability to leverage them to improve processes and outcomes. A core understanding of AI concepts is required and must be able to demonstrate the use of AI tools in a professional setting.

Onboarding

As part of our onboarding process, all new employees will be required to attend / travel to the office on their first day of employment. This requirement is essential for onboarding activities, including the identity verification, completion of necessary documentation, receiving your IT equipment, introductions to key team members, and orientation to Clinisys policies and procedures.
