Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a two-year fixed-term, part-time Clinical Practice Adviser to join Te Puna Hauora – School of Health, with a start month of March 2026.

Key responsibilities:

  • To coordinate HLTH 544 - Nurse Practitioner Practicum course.
  • To provide supervision, instruction, and academic mentorship for specific nurse practitioner candidates.
  • Participation in planning and development activities related to HLTH544.

Ō pūmanawa - About you

You will be a motivated, student-focused individual, with experience in advanced nursing practice and supporting professional learning.

The successful applicant will have completed Masters qualification and be a registered Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing Council of New Zealand. 

Key requirements:

  • A Master’s degree (or equivalent).
  • Registered Nurse Practitioner with a current practising certificate.
  • Demonstrated evidence of some successful teaching in a relevant field at tertiary level.
  • Demonstrated evidence of good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work with students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds.
