Job Description

9 Month Fixed-Term Project Opportunity

Here at Greencross Pet Wellness Company, we are seeking a Clinical PIMS Transition Specialist to play a pivotal role in the implementation of Vetera across our Specialty and Emergency hospital network.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced veterinary professional to combine their clinical knowledge with process improvement and system transformation expertise. Working closely with hospital teams, clinicians and project stakeholders, you will help ensure that clinical workflows, procedures and billing structures are accurately transitioned from RxWorks to Vetera, creating a sustainable and consistent foundation for the future.

As part of a significant transformation program, you'll work directly with hospitals to understand how care is delivered today, identify opportunities for standardisation, and help design clinically appropriate workflows that support exceptional patient care, operational efficiency and accurate billing.

About the Role

The Clinical PIMS Transition Specialist will act as the vital link between hospital teams and the project implementation team.

Working hospital by hospital, you'll review existing clinical services, procedures, workflows and billing structures, helping to define a future-state approach that is practical, clinically appropriate and scalable across the business. You'll collaborate with clinicians, operational leaders and project stakeholders to ensure Vetera supports real-world clinical workflows while enabling consistency, governance and reporting.

This role combines clinical expertise, stakeholder engagement, problem solving and process improvement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across both operational and project environments.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Review current hospital service items, procedures, bundles and billing workflows.
  • Analyse and classify existing clinical codes and billing structures.
  • Map legacy RxWorks codes to future-state Vetera structures and identify gaps, exceptions and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with clinicians to understand current practices and resolve inconsistencies.
  • Help develop and maintain a "golden-state" catalogue of clinical services and procedures.
  • Support the design of clinically appropriate procedure structures, inclusions, exclusions and billing methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for standardisation while preserving genuine clinical variation where required.
  • Validate proposed workflows and ensure they reflect how care is delivered in practice.
  • Participate in workflow testing, pilot implementations and transition activities.
  • Support hospital readiness, education and adoption activities throughout the implementation process.
  • Document requirements and provide recommendations to project, pricing and commercial stakeholders.

About You

You are an experienced veterinary professional who understands the realities of hospital workflows and enjoys finding better ways of working.

You may be a:

  • Veterinarian
  • Veterinary Nurse
  • Practice Manager
  • ECC or Specialist Nurse
  • Clinical Operations professional with a strong understanding of veterinary hospital processes and a passion for continuous improvement.

You'll bring:

  • Strong knowledge of Specialty and Emergency veterinary workflows.
  • Experience interpreting clinical processes and billing structures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail when reviewing procedures, workflows and system mappings.
  • The ability to influence outcomes and facilitate practical decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with veterinary PIMS platforms, including RxWorks, Vetera or similar systems.
  • Exposure to software implementation, digital transformation or change projects.
  • Experience working across Specialty, Emergency or referral hospital environments.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on how veterinary teams deliver care and operate across a growing network of hospitals.

You'll have the chance to:

  • Influence a major business transformation program.
  • Work closely with clinical leaders, operational teams and technology specialists.
  • Help create future-state clinical workflows that support both patient care and business performance.
  • Gain valuable experience in system implementation, process improvement and organisational change.
  • Enjoy flexible hybrid working arrangements with meaningful hospital engagement.
  • Be part of a collaborative team focused on innovation, continuous improvement and clinical excellence.
