Novant Health Women’s & Children’s Institute is seeking an exceptional, collaborative physician leader to join their program as the Region Leader for the women’s health service line in Charlotte, NC and the surrounding region.

Opportunity Highlights:

• The physician leader, in partnership with their administrative partner, will lead strategy, clinical operations, safety & quality, and patient experience for women’s health programs in the Charlotte. The clinical offerings include ambulatory ob-gyn, ob-gyn urgency care, maternal-fetal medicine, urogynecology, and minimally-invasive gynecologic surgery.
• This role reports to the physician in chief of the Novant Health Women’s & Children’s Institute, Dr. Lewis Lipscomb. Together with the other Region leaders they lead growth and strategy, clinical improvement, and provide physician leadership for the Charlotte Region
• The physician leader, will be on active medical staff with Novant Health in the Charlotte Region and part of Novant Health Medical Group.
• The physician leader partners with their counterpart in the Cancer Institute to ensure alignment and coordination with gyn-oncology and breast.
• The institute includes over 454 clinicians and 154 locations across North Carolina

Candidate Qualifications:

• Board-certified Obstetrician / Gynecologist and/or from a women’s subspecialty.
• The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience as a clinician. Executive physician leadership experience is required and continued formal development as a leader is encouraged while in this role.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• This role will involve administrative (0.4 FTE) and clinical (0.6 FTE) duties.
• Our leader would be responsible for the safety & quality, patient experience, financial vitality, growth, and strategy objectives of the market while working with an administrative dyad partner.
• Lead a group of 165 providers at 38 clinic locations and collaborates with the market leadership and administration of 6 hospitals in the region.

Additional Compensation Details:

• Two-year salary guarantee
• Relocation allowance
• Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance
