The Clinical Pharmacist – Regional Oncology Float supports oncology and infusion pharmacy operations across multiple locations throughout the Florida market, with primary home sites including West Palm Beach and Martin North. This role requires flexibility to travel and support additional regional infusion pharmacy locations based on operational and patient care needs. Responsibilities include compounding oncology and infusion medications, verifying and reviewing medication orders, collaborating with providers and clinical staff regarding patient care, and supporting daily operational workflows within the infusion pharmacy environment. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work across diverse oncology care settings while contributing to safe, high-quality patient care.

A caregiver in this role will work an 8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am to 5:30pm with no weekends, holidays and on-call. Floating requirements will support multiple regional oncology/infusion pharmacy locations.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered and evidence-based pharmacy and medication services.
  • Ensure the appropriate selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medication orders.
  • Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
  • Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Actively contribute to medication safety initiatives.
  • Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards.
  • Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
  • Provide cost-effective care.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible in current state within 90 days of hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification within 90 days of hire for Individuals administering immunizations
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within one of hire for individuals responding to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest events

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Board Certification
  • Completion of a Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience
  • Post-Graduate Year 2 Residency (PCY2) or relevant experience for Clinical Pharmacists in a specialized pharmacy practice area
  • Prior infusion pharmacy experience
  • Experience compounding oncology medications strongly

Physical Requirements

  • Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting.
  • Must have normal or corrected vision.
  • Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person
