A caregiver in this Clinical Pharmacist – Inpatient role supports pharmacy operations at Akron General, providing medication preparation, distribution, and clinical oversight across multiple inpatient service lines. The caregiver collaborates closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nursing staff, and other clinical caregivers while supporting activities such as patient chart review, order verification, medication troubleshooting, and pharmacy operational workflows. This role also assists with sterile and non-sterile compounding checks for Akron Main within a supportive, team-oriented hospital environment that offers broad learning exposure.
A caregiver in this position primarily works 1st shift with scheduled hours of 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., or 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with one week on 2nd shift approximately every four weeks (2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., or 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.). The role includes a weekend rotation of every fourth weekend and occasional rotation support for 3rd shift coverage to assist the overnight pharmacist team when needed.
