Variable (United States of America)Reviews, evaluates and dispenses individual drug orders including unit dose medications, intravenous additive preparations, total parenteral nutrition, chemotherapeutic agents, and investigational agents; interacts with nurses and prescribers to consult on medication and treatments along with drug therapy; monitors the drug therapy and offers cost effective alternatives, as appropriate; counsels patients in the proper use of prescribed drugs; oversees and directs pharmacy technician staff in the execution of technical functions.
This temporary benefitted position offers a base salary range for this position is $134,208 - $162,796 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. This position also includes a geographical differential of $6,007 annually.
Required Education and Experience
License Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New York
Education and Experience
1. Doctor of Pharmacy degree; or
2. Master’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience; or
3. Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have previous hospital, chemotherapy and pharmacy experience.
