
The Senior Analyst of Clinical Operations Business Intelligence (COBI) leads knowledge management efforts to redesign care processes to optimize value (improve outcomes, patient satisfaction and reduce cost). This role provides strategic oversight for the development and governance of analytics dashboards that provide a single source of truth for reliable, meaningful and actionable insights. The Senior Analyst leads complex assessment and diagnostic of problems, architect scalable data analytics solutions, develops performance dashboards, and manages structured improvement initiatives, from transformational projects, to focused analytics development improvement events. The Senior Analyst also acts as a coach for his/her team and for any colleagues they interact with to help them establish mechanisms to sustain performance after the completion of projects. The Senior Analyst establishes and sustains strategic relationships with physicians, nurses, other clinicians and administrators to build support for change and sustainability efforts. This role leads cross-functional collaboration to translate clinical and operational requirements into scalable analytics solutions, understand process flow and design the analytics tools they need to make data-driven decisions to improve patient care, drive down cost, and increase revenue. The Senior Analyst leads the development of management mechanisms and systems to build the knowledge management capacity of the medical enterprise. The Senior Analysts strengthens data and analytics support across the USC health system to foster its continued growth, increased efficiency, development of workflows in conjunction with physicians and establishes strategic relationships with referring facilities. These efforts will improve the transitions of care resulting in safer, more efficient care with better patient and family experience, reduced length of stay and readmissions. The scope of activities for the Senior Analyst include: cultivating strategic customer relationships, serving as a trusted analytics advisor to operational leaders, leading agile design while developing business solutions with clinical stakeholders, building complex analytical models (e.g., predictive models using machine learning techniques, automating multi-source data capture and analysis, leading high-impact performance improvement and operations projects in the organization, providing actionable insights, and employing the advanced analytical judgment necessary to determine the accuracy and applicability of analytical conclusions.

The annual base salary range for this position is $81,120.00 - $133,010.00.
