About our Clinical Nurse Care Coordinator position
Serves as the primary study coordinator for specific studies and assists with the implementation of other studies as needed. Recruits, screens, schedules, and enrolls research subjects and ensures accurate data collection and entry. Provides support on research related projects. Participate in study startup, monitoring activities, and closeout. Responsible for maintaining study regulatory documents and binders. Performs patient care responsibilities within job scope and as required for study tasks.
What will you be doing!
Coordinates and provides support to research-related projects in conjunction with the Clinical Research Manager, Director of Research/PI. Contributes to research study planning and implementation for specific studies according to required protocols.
Acts as Research Coordinator on a variety of studies at multiple locations as needed. Activities include recruitment, scheduling and enrollment of study subjects, obtaining informed consent, and data/sample collection. Coordinates enrollment with health center manager and/or patient care team lead. May also involve providing direct patient care, assisting clinicians and performing components of medical workup as needed, (if qualified) including obtaining blood and urine specimens and the processing and shipping of blood, urine, and swab specimens. Responsible for all study data collected, including completing data collection and entry, and ensuring the quality of case report forms and source documents.
Works collaboratively with Health Center staff on integrating study into flow of clinics and coordinate health center assistance with recruitment and enrollment while on-site.
Acts as the primary or lead study coordinator for specific clinical trials, including IVD sample collection, medical devices, and drug studies. As lead study coordinator:
Performs health center tasks including but not limited to, preparing exam rooms, taking clients to exam rooms, assisting clinicians, and a variety of tasks which require demonstrating knowledge of universal precautions, sterile technique and hazardous waste disposal.
Writes and submits articles for affiliate SharePoint communications.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by adhering to and complying with infection and exposure control procedures; OSHA, WISHA, CLIA, PPFA, and PPGNHI policies and procedures.
Maintains HIPAA compliance standards regarding patient privacy and confidentiality. Always protects patient confidentiality within health center and research operations.
Maintains health center operations by following policies and procedures; reports needed changes per PPGNHAIK guidelines.
Maintains current Good Clinical Procedure (GCP), Human Subjects Research and IATA. Keeps up to date on PPFA and PPGNHAIK research SOPS and research guidelines.
Maintains either Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant-registered with Phlebotomy.
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences OR health-related field or equivalent professional degree and work experience combination.
Minimum 2 years’ experience required in health care or healthcare related field.
Minimum 1 year experience in medical research or research-related activities
Proficient computer skills and software skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office software and EPIC.
Must have excellent skills in written and verbal communication. Must be self-motivated and detail oriented.
Certifications:
Medical Assistant certification with phlebotomy preferred.
Salary Range:
$35.12 - $58.53 hourly
