In addition to our core services, we are passionate about our Client Services, which helps us deliver high-quality services and engage with our community effectively.

About You

We are seeking a passionate, creative and experienced Registered Nurse who is committed to building workforce capability and improving outcomes for people living with disability. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this part-time role is responsible for developing and maintaining Support Worker competency in medication support and High Intensity Daily Personal Activities.

The role plans, delivers and evaluates evidence-based training and competency assessments, including client-specific training, so Support Workers can provide safe, person-centred supports in line with participant support plans, Mosaic policies, the NDIS Practice Standards and relevant clinical guidance. The position works collaboratively with operational leaders, the Quality Coordinator and treating health professionals to identify training needs, maintain accurate competency records and support continuous improvement in clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities of this role include but not limited to

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver all Mosaic medication training and competency assessments for Support Workers, including induction, refresher, remedial and client-specific training.
  • Deliver and assess training for relevant High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA) supports within the Registered Nurse’s scope of practice and competence, including participant-specific procedures and risk controls.
  • Complete practical observations and competency assessments, provide constructive feedback and determine whether Support Workers have demonstrated the required knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and audit-ready records of training attendance, competency outcomes, expiry dates, reassessment requirements and identified learning needs.
  • Monitor competency currency and work with operational leaders to schedule training and reassessment before competencies expire or when participant needs, risks, equipment or procedures change.
  • Develop, review and maintain medication and HIDPA training materials, assessment tools and supporting resources in line with contemporary evidence, Mosaic policies, participant plans and NDIS requirements.
  • Adapt training methods and materials to workforce learning needs, literacy levels and service settings while maintaining required clinical and competency standards.
  • Provide clinical education and coaching to Support Workers and operational leaders within the scope of the role, escalating participant-specific clinical concerns to the appropriate treating health professional or manager.
  • Collaborate with participants, families, operational teams and external health professionals to ensure client-specific training accurately reflects current clinical instructions and support plans.
  • Contribute training insights to medication, health and incident reviews and recommend improvements where competency or practice gaps are identified.
  • Maintain professional knowledge, registration and continuing professional development relevant to medication support, disability services, adult education and HIDPA supports.
  • Undertake other duties within the scope of the position as directed by the Chief Operations Officer.

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
  • Relevant qualification or demonstrated experience in workplace medication support training, including safe practice, documentation, incident prevention and escalation.
  • Demonstrated nursing experience in medication management and the application of NDIS Practice Standards within disability, community, aged care, or other complex support environments
  • Current Driver Licence, NDIS Check, First Aid and CPR
  • Experience with relevant HIDPA supports and participant-specific clinical training is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready records.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning management systems.
