
About the role
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for Clinical Nurse - Stomal Therapy & Wound Management to join us in a permanent, part time (0.6 FTE) role Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. This state-of-the-art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.
As a Clinical Nurse at Mater Health Services, you will deliver comprehensive clinical care that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient in a safe, effective, and patient-centred way. In this clinical leadership role, you will support and lead the delivery of high-quality care, using your advanced clinical skills and knowledge to coordinate care, collaborate with the nursing and interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
At Mater, Clinical Nurses practice in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards, relevant legislation, and professional codes, ensuring evidence-based, safe, and ethical care. You will be accountable for your own practice and contribute to the ongoing excellence of our healthcare services.
Salary range: $56.08 - $60.05 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
You will provide specialised nursing care in wound management and stomal therapy, delivering evidence-based assessment, planning and evaluation of patient care to support optimal patient outcomes through best practice clinical interventions.
You will also provide clinical leadership when delegated by the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) demonstrating professionalism and accountability in all aspects of your practice.
About you
The successful candidate must hold a current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions and have extensive demonstrated experience in wound management and/or stomal therapy.
