· Master’s degree in Nursing required.
· Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field, such as a DNP or PhD, preferred.
· Five years of registered nursing experience in an acute-care setting required.
· Significant clinical experience in the assigned specialty or patient population required.
· Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
· Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
· Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider ACLS certification, as applicable to the assigned clinical practice area.
· Clinical Nurse Specialist board certification and completion of all requirements established by the Maryland Board of Nursing to practice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
· Maintains membership in an applicable professional organization.
· Adheres to organizational credentialing requirements and nursing bylaws.
There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
