In recognition of its high quality and patient safety, the AKUH is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) as an Academic Medical Centre and its Clinical Laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) for fast and accurate testing.As an equal opportunity employer, AKU believes in promoting a diverse and inclusive culture and is committed to adopt appropriate standards for safeguarding and promoting a respectful relationship with and between diverse workforce of its faculty, staff, trainees, volunteers, beneficiaries, wider communities, and other stakeholders with whom it works, including children and vulnerable adults and expects all employees/trainees and partners to share this commitment.Responsibilities:You will be responsible to: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including pain and health education needs Plan, prioritize, and deliver safe, quality, patient-centered nursing care Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection prevention and hospital protocol Manage admission, transfer, and discharge processes as per institutional guidelines Educate patients, families, and staff on relevant health and nursing care needs Monitor and maintain medical supplies, equipment, and inventory Mentor and guide novice/new nursing staff in safe nursing practices Evaluate patient outcomes and modify nursing care plans as required Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation Report incidents and critical/panic laboratory results promptly Maintain required clinical competencies through certification and recertification programs.

Requirements:You should have:a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BScN), Post-RN BScN degree and should have at least three years of experiencevalid license from Pakistan Nursing Councilcertification in Basic Life Support, ACLS, PALS, NRP provider, Safe Medication Administration and Intravenous Cannulationability to assess, plan and manage patient care with expertise as per protocolswillingness to work with shiftsexcellent interpersonal skills, including communication skills.Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
