The Nurse Manager oversees daily nursing operations for assigned patient care areas to ensure high‑quality care and excellent patient outcomes. This role manages clinical workflows, staffing coordination, and compliance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include conducting clinical audits, coaching and mentoring staff, supporting shared governance, and collaborating with clinical leaders to develop unit competencies. The manager provides expert clinical guidance, addresses complex patient care issues, and ensures unit performance related to quality and nurse‑sensitive indicators. This position also supports onboarding and development of new nurses and assumes full responsibility for the unit in the manager’s absence.
