About the Opportunity:

• 54 bed progressive care unit with an amazing 1:3 nurse to patient ratio!
• Focus upon cardiovascular advance care including treating pacemaker, open-heart surgery, cardiac Cath, and congestive heart failure patients.
• Expanding into vascular services including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
• Cohesive, collaborative, and supportive environment of peer managers and senior leadership
• Excellent comradery amongst the team
• The unit has two Assistant Managers (day and night shifts) and two Charge Nurse leaders.
• Excellent Nurse Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator support for the nurses

Skills, Knowledge, Education & Experience You Offer:

• At least 1-2 years of leadership experience as an assistant manager or manager, ideally in healthcare but will entertain leadership roles from other industries for applicants who have managed a team including hiring, mentoring, evaluations, and employee engagement.
• Must have RN experience in a cardiovascular or high acuity critical care unit.
• Exceptional and influential communication skills
• Energized by working through issues, establishing goals, and achieving positive results while managing new initiatives.
• Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s (preferred), with a commitment to obtaining your BSN and potentially your Masters if this should become a requirement by a regulatory agency
• BLS
• Strong focus on Performance Improvement and Patient Safety
• Experience in Staff Recruitment and Retention
