Job Description

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and international candidates across hospitals, nursing homes, home care, and community care settings. We are currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 3 Site Manager for a hospital based in Limerick, Ireland. Part-time (18.5 hours per week) | Permanent Key Responsibilities Provide effective leadership and operational management to ensure the delivery and continuous development of high-quality nursing care. Support and oversee Nursing Services to maintain exceptional standards of patient care across all wards and clinical departments. Promote compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical governance standards among nursing staff. Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of clinical policies, procedures, and protocols in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Monitor patient activity, service delivery, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure quality, efficiency, and optimal patient outcomes. Foster staff development by supporting education, mentorship, and continuous learning within clinical areas. Provide expert clinical support for acutely ill or deteriorating patients and guide ward staff in complex clinical situations. Respond to and manage clinical emergencies, ensuring timely escalation, effective communication, and appropriate follow-up. Promote the safe implementation of advanced nursing practices and expanded nursing roles, particularly during out-of-hours services. Coordinate patient flow in line with best practice, using performance data and reports to support informed decision-making and service improvement. Drive a culture of continuous quality improvement through evidence-based practice, audit, and service evaluation. Ensure complaints are managed promptly and professionally, investigating concerns and implementing corrective actions and learning opportunities where required. Contribute to the planning and development of annual nursing service objectives, including out-of-hours operational requirements. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, accreditation, and legislative standards. Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and internal and external quality assurance programmes. Actively participate in and contribute to hospital committees, including Quality, JCI, JAG, and HIQA committees, while leading initiatives that enhance patient safety, clinical governance, and service excellence. Requirements Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI (or eligible for registration) Minimum 7 years post-registration experience Proven management/supervisory experience Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
