Reporting to the Care Centre Manager, this role will help to provide leadership, support, and clinical guidance to our incredible Care Centre team at our Whanganui village

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in providing clinical guidance, day to day direction, and leadership to the Care Centre team.
  • Working closely with Care Centre Manager to help support safe operation of the care team.
  • Active involvement with the Summerset quality management programme.
  • Consult with residents and their advocates to establish shared expectations of care and service delivery
  • Acting as a clinical liaison for health care team members with a key focus on the primary care team, pharmacists, podiatrists, physiotherapist, dietitian, and specialist services that are required for individual residents.

This is a permanent role working a roster of Monday to Friday (32-hours per week and times to be negotiated).

Qualifications

You’ll bring experience in a clinical environment with a deep understanding of the aged care sector and Te Whatu Ora standards. You’ll be an experienced Clinical Nurse Lead with solid aged care experience in New Zealand and also:

  • A Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and your PDRP achieved to level 2-4
  • A high degree of clinical expertise ideally in the aged care sector
  • Computer literacy including clinical care systems
  • A team player with a strong commitment to be a positive influence, coach and mentor
  • A skilled communicator with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
