
The Nursing Educator is available to provide care/assistance to the staff, physicians and patients within all aspects of the medical surgical setting.
Job Duties: · Collaborates with patient care services, interdisciplinary teams, and key stakeholders across all levels of the organization.· Partners with nursing staff and other clinical disciplines in the development, implementation, and evaluation of education programs and professional development initiatives.· Works with Human Resources to ensure nursing staff meet orientation, annual in‑service, competency, and certification requirements.· Maintains an updated inventory of equipment and resources used for training and educational activities.· Coordinates with nursing and patient care departments to provide seamless training that supports uninterrupted, high‑quality care delivery.· Fosters a professional, supportive learning environment that promotes growth and excellence in practice.· Shares expertise with colleagues and serves as a role model and mentor for nursing staff.· Provides orientation and updates to instructors from affiliating academic institutions.· Promotes an environment of mutual respect, collaboration, and effective communication.· Oversees the development and implementation of education programs that align with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.· Designs and facilitates orientation programs for newly hired nurses, utilizing skills checklists and competency tools to validate performance.· Conducts an annual education needs assessment and uses findings to develop the yearly education plan.· Develops program goals and objectives, distributes evaluation tools, and analyzes feedback to enhance future educational offerings.· Ensures nursing staff receive training on new equipment and technology introduced into the clinical environment.· Participates in strategic planning initiatives with nursing leadership to support organizational goals.· Develops and delivers evidence‑based education and process‑improvement programs for unit‑based and organization‑wide instruction.· Establishes forums to share best practices and promote clinical excellence related to high‑volume or high‑risk patient populations.· Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice through outcome monitoring and performance metrics.· Collaborates with nursing leadership and quality departments to identify care issues and develop targeted educational interventions.· Participates in interdisciplinary evaluation teams to support continuous improvement in patient care and staff performance.

2 Years Healthcare/ Medical – Nurse: Related Field Required Additional Experience Requirements:· Minimum of two years of proven experience in Nursing, Education, or Quality.· Demonstrated knowledge of short‑ and long‑range planning, program development, and instructional design.· Strong understanding of quality indicators, data analysis, and regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission and CMS standards related to acute care operations and nursing practice.· Certification in Nursing Professional Development is preferred.
