About the role
Xavier 8 North is a surgical ward supporting patients across specialties including orthopaedics, plastic surgery, urology and gynaecology
Assess, develop, implement and evaluate the clinical education needs of staff working within a clinical environment in collaboration with the Nursing Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Stream Manager
Provide equitable access to educational support and resources for all permanent and transient staff to enhance clinical knowledge, skills and competence
Apply evidence-based practice principles to the development and review of policies and procedures within the clinical environment and broader organisation
Deliver current, relevant and evidence-based clinical education to support safe, effective and high-quality patient care
About you
Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
Relevant clinical or education post-graduate qualifications and at least 12 months experience working in the relevant clinical area related to your qualifications, or four years post-registration experience including three years’ experience in the relevant specialist field
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team using effective communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment
Demonstrated knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches including e-learning

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
