Job Description

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider and home to Baystate Medical Practices, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to support the Bariatric Surgery Program within the Department of General Surgery.

  • The Clinical Nurse Coordinator develops and facilitates a systems-based approach to care delivery for a defined patient population across the continuum of care.
  • This role partners with physician leaders and multidisciplinary teams to advance clinical initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes while supporting evidence-based practice and program goals.
  • This position plays a key role in coordinating care, supporting quality improvement efforts, and contributing to the ongoing development and success of the bariatric surgery program.

SCHEDULE:

  • 24-hour on-site position
  • Flexible schedule based on clinic and surgical needs
  • Must align with surgeon availability and 7:30 AM department meetings
  • Additional on-site coverage as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSN required
  • MA RN License required
  • Graduate-level nursing education (MSN, CNL, NP) or advanced certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing experience required
  • Experience in surgical services, bariatric care, or related specialty preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and care coordination skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary groups and work effectively with providers and clinical teams
  • Comfort with facilitating meetings, education, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Compensation

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

$98,051.00 - $112,715.00 - $133,348.00
