Job Description
The successful candidate must demonstrate experience, skills, and commitment to fostering an environment of belonging, diversity, equity and inclusion in students, faculty and staff.
POSITION
- Provide one-on-one clinical instrumentation consultation in 3-hour increments during 4-hour clinic sessions.
- Communicate with students to schedule sessions when they are treating patients requiring advanced instrumentation.
- After each session, document the student’s skill level, the patient’s difficulty level, the consultation provided, and any improvements observed.
- Ensure each student receives equal hours of tutoring.
Complete an on-line application and attach a cover letter with position title, resume, and copies of transcripts and/or certifications and licenses.
- Registered Dental Hygienist ( RDH) licensed in the State of Michigan.
- Significant experience treating advanced periodontitis utilizing hand instruments and ultrasonics.
- Proficiency in administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide; Michigan certification in both required.
- Demonstrated advanced instrumentation skills meeting or exceeding competencies taught in the Delta College Dental Hygiene program.
