Your New Role

As Clinical Medical Manager you will deliver industry-leading clinical trial excellence and early therapy area development, with high-quality scientific insights and engagement, trusted partnerships, and innovation. You will work in close partnership with Clinical Operations and Medical & Scientific Affairs to connect product development and world-class clinical trial execution with early therapy area development and successful product launches. You will be responsible for therapeutic areas including diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and kidney diseases.

The main responsibilities will be to

  • Gather, analyse, communicate and implement actionable insights throughout the lifecycle of assigned clinical trials
  • Secure actionable scientific insights into protocol outline and trial execution to enhance outcomes
  • Engage relevant key opinion leaders who are investigators to optimise trial methodologies, mitigate recruitment and retention challenges, and build long-term relationships
  • Be the local subject matter expert on the product and protocol in relevant trials to discuss early clinical data with external experts during feasibility and to quickly resolve medical queries from site staff during the trial
  • Provide early medical and scientific input into product development, incorporating the perspectives of clinicians and patients
  • Establish a strong presence in new and current therapy areas with key stakeholders in new and current therapy areas through scientific engagement in trials
  • Build organisational readiness in collaboration with Therapy Area Leads, co-design and deploy scientific knowledge building for Clinical Operations teammates on therapy area, product and protocol

Your New Department

The Clinical, Medical, and Regulatory Department is a team of skilled and committed specialists within medical, clinical, clinical medical, regulatory, pharmacovigilance and safety areas.

The Clinical, Medical and Regulatory department is poised for growth as it embarks on the establishment of a Clinical Development Centre as well as expanding its Clinical medical collaboration roles. This expansion is focusing on the preparation of new therapy areas for Novo Nordisk, including chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, liver conditions, and Alzheimer's disease. With a strong commitment to advancing healthcare, this department is at the forefront of pioneering innovative solutions for these challenging medical conditions.

Your Skills & Qualifications

You hold a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery and post-graduation in any of the clinical or para-clinical stream is a value addition with at least 3 years’ experience in clinical or medical roles in the pharmaceutical industry. You are fluent in Turkish and English. Moreover you have

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical drug development and value chain
  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and clinical trial methodology
  • An enterprise mindset demonstrating business understanding, prioritizing the organisation's overall success over own interests, and promoting cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business operations, financial drivers, and market dynamics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to creatively solve complex problems and drive the development of practical solutions.
  • Ability to innovate, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and embrace change
  • Willingness to leverage technology such as AI tools and adopt a data-driven approach in all aspects of work
  • Being an expert in the therapeutic area of diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular or nephrology would be considered a plus
