Clinical Manager | Clinic Float Pool and Clinic Operations

Location: La Crosse and Onalaska Campuses
Schedule: Full‑time, 1.0 FTE

What You’ll Do

  • Provide management oversight and strategic leadership for the Clinic Nursing Float Pool, ensuring efficient staff deployment across ambulatory locations, including the La Crosse campus, Onalaska, and regional clinics.

  • Oversee Clinic Operations staffing and scheduling, working in close partnership with clinic, hospital, and system operations leaders.

  • Directly and indirectly lead a diverse team of ~55 staff, including:

    • Registered Nurses (RNs)

    • Medical Assistants (MAs)

    • Clinic Coordinator

    • Office Assistant

    • Personnel Schedulers

    • Supervisor

  • Manage employee performance, engagement, and development to ensure optimal daily operations and high team morale.

  • Collaborate with otherClinical Managers, Clinical Operations Directors, and the Hospital Float Pool leadership to align staffing models and operational priorities.

  • Serve as a key stakeholder in major initiatives, including:

    • UKG Phase 2 implementation

    • Future-state clinic staffing and scheduling models

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Full-time leadership position with standard weekday hours.

  • On‑site presence is essential, with time shared between La Crosse and Onalaska (typically 2 days/week in Onalaska).

  • No routine weekends or holidays.

  • Highly collaborative, enterprise‑focused role with broad visibility across ambulatory operations.

What You’ll Need

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health‑related field

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Wisconsin

  • 5–7 years of clinical or equivalent healthcare experience demonstrating leadership skills

Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

  • 1 year of management experience

  • Ambulatory or clinic operations experience

  • Experience leading leaders

  • Familiarity with workforce management systems (e.g., UKG)
