Hours & Roster Details:

  • Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
  • Hours: Average 40 hours/week

The purpose of this job

This permanent full-time leadership opportunity sits within a well-established 103-bed care home providing Rest Home, Hospital, Psychogeriatric, and Short Stay services, alongside 116 retirement village units on-site.

This opportunity will appeal to an established Clinical Manager seeking a sideways move into a larger organisation with greater resources, stronger leadership support, and the backing of a national provider. It may also suit a leader currently running a smaller aged care facility, or a care home with a dementia unit of around 60 to 70 beds, who is ready to step into a larger and more complex service.

As a Clinical Manager, you’ll work alongside a supportive team to:

  • Provide person-centred clinical care for residents
  • Lead a team of caregivers and nurses to provide the highest quality clinical care
  • Conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, lead in-service education sessions for staff, and maintain accurate paperwork
  • Be part of 3-year audit certifications where you can continue the success of the team with providing the best care
  • Stand up and tell us where we can invest more to ensure continuous quality improvement

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • Proven Clinical Leadership experience, personal passion, and empathy
  • Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration
  • Passion for leading a team to mentor and support others with confident communication
  • Leading continuous quality improvements
  • Excellent clinical skills in adult care and ideal aged care experience
  • A compassionate nurse who strives for excellence and to make an impact on residents’ lives
  • Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand

Why you’ll love it?

  • Plan your life ahead outside of work with fixed rolling rosters
  • Access to Bupa Campus – your go-to space for global learning and development
  • Be part of a strong national and regional support network of Clinical Managers, regional quality partners, and our national clinical services improvement team
  • National forums, and internal reward and recognition programmes
  • Nursing Council-Approved PDRP
  • Access to Viva, Bupa's global employee wellbeing programme
  • Southern Cross health insurance membership with monthly premiums fully paid for eligible employees
  • Enhanced parental leave - 12 or 24 weeks of paid gender-neutral parental leave for eligible employees
  • Complimentary uniforms provided to look your best at work.
  • Access to a wide range of employee benefits and discounts across retail, technology and more. Employee Assistance Programme when you need it most
  • Regularly offered free flu vaccinations, free skin checks and initial menopause consultation
  • Refer a Friend Programme

If this sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s shape the future of healthcare, together.
