
of Performance Expectations:
Performs the primary function of answering clinical phone calls for Wound Healing Center patient related issues.Performs patient pre-registration, enters orders for consults and ancillary testing, orders, and tracks receipt of tissue products.Promotes a professional patient-centered practice image by efficiently performing a wide variety of clinical and/or administrative duties to medical office outpatients under the direct supervision of a licensed physician or licensed mid-level provider. Is responsible for meeting the established Wound Center standards of practice, and acts within the guidelines of federal and state laws, Joint Commission standards, professional and ethical practice.
Education & Credentials:
Required
Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assisting and/or certification as a Medical Assistant or completion of a Paramedic degree or certification program.BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of employment date.
Preferred
Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Operator course completion within six months of employment date.
Work Experience:
Required
Two years of experience.Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
Preferred
Wound care and medical office experience.
