Under the direction of the Director of Nursing - LTC and in accordance with established policies and procedures, oversees the operation of the nursing units and personally or through subordinates, provides clinical supervision to employees assigned to the various nursing units.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Minimum: Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing. Preferred: BSN LICENSE: Minimum: Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: BLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation. CPI obtained within 90 days of hire. WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum: One year of nursing experience. Preferred: Minimum of one (1) year LTC experience and previous supervisory experience preferred. SKILLS: Minimum: Ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff, department managers, ancillary services and customers in a professional and courteous manner. • Demonstrated ability to manage self professionally in stressful situations. Ability to facilitate clinical management, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Familiarity with NYSDOH requirements. Demonstrated excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), analytical, and organizational skills. Computer literacy
