Responsible for: Clinical Manager and, through that role, the wider care management function
Location Richmond Head Office & Client Homes
Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Paragon Home Healthcare is a nurse led leading provider of comprehensive home care services, uniquely specialised for individuals with spinal cord injuries and those requiring complex care. Our commitment to exceptional care is deeply embedded in our approach and is endorsed by the Spinal Injuries Association as their trusted provider. We focus on enhancing accessibility and community integration, offering clients tailored support that empowers them to live fulfilling and independent lives.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Lead Nurse to provide senior clinical leadership across our service. You will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day clinical operation, ensuring care is safe, effective, and consistent. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing and Clinical Governance, as well as the Critical Care Lead Nurse, providing operational oversight while supporting managers in making confident, informed decisions.
Provide visible and consistent clinical leadership across the service, acting as the senior operational escalation point for care delivery, staffing, and clinical risk.
Oversee the Care Management function through line management of Clinical Managers, ensuring robust package oversight and consistent clinical leadership.
Take ownership of service-level clinical risk, ensuring concerns are identified, assessed, and escalated appropriately.
Collaborate with the Coordination Manager to align staffing and care delivery with clinical risk management.
Work alongside the Critical Care Lead Nurse to support higher acuity and complex care packages while maintaining overall operational oversight.
Support clinical governance by translating learning from incidents, audits, complaints, and safeguarding activity into practice.
Mentor and support managers and teams, providing guidance on risk management, decision-making, and leadership.
Act as a senior clinical role model, promoting evidence-based care, professionalism, and a culture of high-quality practice.
The role would suit someone who is calm under pressure, confident in making decisions, and comfortable holding accountability. The individual needs to be able to work across multiple relationships, support managers effectively, and keep the service moving safely. They should be adaptable, pragmatic, and able to see the wider picture while still understanding how care is being delivered in practice.
Essential:
Registered Nurse with active NMC registration (consideration for PT, OT, or SLT for exceptional candidates).
Significant post-registration experience in community, complex care, or similar environments.
Experience managing teams or leading care delivery.
Strong knowledge of care planning, risk management, escalation, and safe service delivery.
Ability to balance operational and clinical priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Confident decision-maker with the ability to support and challenge others appropriately.
Desirable:
Experience in nurse-led homecare or community-based services.
Experience supporting non-clinical managers or multidisciplinary teams.
Experience contributing to quality improvement, service development, or governance implementation.
