
JOB TITLE: Clinical Laboratory Assistant

SALARY RANGE: $15.97 - $24.81 hourly
ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.
CPN Health Services personnel may be assigned to provide services to patients of all ages including but not limited to Indian Children and will require a criminal history background screening.
This position serves as phlebotomist, clinical lab orders specialist, and processing specialist, full time or part time, ordering, collecting and processing specimens for testing in the clinical laboratory to assist the medical staff in assessing, diagnosing and treating disease or impairment of health of patients utilizing the services of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Health Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
· High school diploma or equivalency.
· Must be proficient in word processing, typing, and general electronic communication.
· Must be proficient in chart note interpretation and interpretation of laboratory orders and coding.
· Must be proficient in medical terminology and communicating using medial terms.
· Proficient in Microsoft outlook and Microsoft word.
· Two years phlebotomy experience is a clinical setting
· Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward patients, providers and co-workers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· The ability to remain standing for prolonged periods of time.
· The ability to bend, stretch, and lift 40 pounds.
· The ability to work in a high stress environment and remain calm.
· Meet all health care immunization requirements.
· Must be able to wear personal protective equipment and use protective barriers for isolation for extended periods of time.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
· General clinical environment with frequent exposure to chemicals, bloodborne pathogens and patient body fluids.
