JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality & Compliance -Establish quality control procedures for ongoing validation of methods & preparation of Specific Operating Procedure (SOP) documents. Ensure audit ready status of lab at all times. Comply with all Institutional regulatory requirements of safety. Conducts the laboratory compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), & safety & regulatory requirements.

  • Laboratory Specific Duties -Perform and or assist the daily testing for the Mass Spectrometry lab. Ensure that the laboratory's inventory of supplies and reagents is adequate to accommodate the workload, and alert responsible parties when it is not. Perform routine maintenance of instrumentation and equipment and alert responsible parties when discrepancies occur. Maintain appropriate attention to detail by adhering to the quality assurance guidelines established for the laboratory. Have an understanding of the requirements of the accrediting agency (CAP) and apply that knowledge in all activities. Perform research, development and other outside projects in a timely manner as directed by the laboratory manager or director.

  • Maintenance -Assist with maintenance of various pieces of equipment. Help maintain/order inventory. Keep work environment well-organized. May troubleshoot and/or correct erroneous results or problems with equipment. May provide appropriate safety/quality monitoring checks and document as assigned.

  • Collaboration -Work collaboratively/cooperatively with others to achieve goals. Proactively adjust one's style and/or efforts to complement those of others. Develop positive working relationships with peers/colleagues. Share knowledge and/or provide support for team members. Contribute to and promote a positive and professional work environment/atmosphere. May serve as a liaison within the division or organization.

  • Research - Execution -Design and execute daily laboratory experiments in coordination with senior laboratory personnel. Maintain records of all laboratory work and experiments. Collect and analyze data. Apply standard protocols to specific experiments, research and improve current methods, and evaluate innovative techniques.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • 0+ years of work experience in a related job discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
