Samaritan Daytop Village provides life-changing services in mental health, addiction recovery, housing, and more to help individuals and families across New York rebuild their lives. We serve over 33,000 clients annually at more than 60 locations throughout the five boroughs, as well as Suffolk, Rockland, Sullivan, Westchester, and Ulster Counties.
Based in the Samaritan Daytop Village Headquarters, the Clinical Informatics Specialist bridges direct clinical practice and health information technology to lead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of the organization's electronic health record (EHR) system. This role requires an MSW and hands-on experience configuring and deploying behavioral health EHR platforms. The Clinical Informatics Specialist ensures that system workflows reflect real clinical practice, meet New York State regulatory requirements, and support accurate documentation, billing, and quality reporting for a behavioral health provider offering outpatient mental health, substance use, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services.
This is a full-time exempt role with a salary of $X-$X with a full benefits package. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 25 days of paid time off, access to a retirement account with an employer to match, and tuition reimbursement.
This role is regularly based in Briarwood, Queens with an expectation of fully working from the office or a program site initially during the 3-month introductory period and then moving to a hybrid schedule with a 3-day requirement after this. Travel to program sites across NYC and the Hudson Valley is required, with the heaviest travel requirement during the workflow discovery, training and go-live phases (roughly 40-50% during this period).
