The Clinical and Health Informaticist challenges the status quo of the healthcare experience through the Science of Informatics. This is an exciting field where experts innovate, design, simplify, and translate technology to equitably support the Intermountain Health mission and vision. The position is responsible for performing workflow and system analysis and functional design for software development and configuration activities associated with clinical applications. This role supports all invasive procedural areas and services, including anesthesia, ensuring technology solutions align with clinical workflows, operational needs, and patient care objectives across procedural settings. Caregivers in this role are also responsible for participating in the implementation, training, adoption, and process improvement of Health Information Technology (HIT). The Informaticist functions as a liaison between business and clinical users and software development/application teams. This position utilizes intermediate informatics principles to support and periodically lead moderately complex projects with limited supervision while continuing to develop clinical expertise and an advanced informatics skillset.
This will be a hybrid position with some travel and on-site expectations. | Schedule will vary, however primary working hours will be Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM.
The ideal candidate would have Microsoft Office Applications and Epic experience, however these are not required for this position.
